Hike Diamond Head at sunrise for sweeping Waikiki views, then enjoy a mini acai bowl and malasada on this Oahu morning outing.

About this tour

Begin the day before the city stirs on this Oahu Diamond Head sunrise hike. Ride from your hotel to the trailhead, then make the roughly 30-minute climb up the volcanic cone as morning light spreads over Waikiki. At the summit, pause for sweeping 360-degree views and the sunrise above the coast.

After the hike, refuel with a mini acai bowl from Bogart's Cafe, a popular local spot, and enjoy a malasada at the foot of Diamond Head. Park entry is included, and hotel pickup and drop-off make the early start easier. The tour lasts about four hours, with a return to your hotel around 9 AM. Diamond Head's gates open at 6:00 AM, and sunrise times change with the season.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. GetYourGuide rates it 4.39 from 47 reviews. We place that rating among all GetYourGuide ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Oahu
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 5.9.
