About this tour

Give young surfers a memorable first taste of the waves with a kids surfing lesson on Waikiki Beach. Designed for children ages 4 to 12, this two-hour experience pairs patient professional instructors with one-on-one coaching to help kids learn at their own pace.

The lesson begins on the beach, where children practice surf techniques and learn how to stand on the board, along with ocean safety and surf etiquette. Then they head into the water for more than an hour of open-ocean instruction. Kids can also try a tandem surf, holding hands with the instructor as they work together to stand up. Surfboards, leashes, rash guards, and reef shoes are provided, with wetsuits available as an option. Each young surfer leaves with a Surfer Girl Academy sticker, and picture and video downloads are available for an additional cost.
