Learn to surf in Waikiki’s welcoming waves with a small group and instructors from professional surfer Jamie O’Brien’s team. This 90-minute Oahu surf lesson pairs practical coaching with time in the water, making it a lively introduction for friends and family.

Meet at the Jamie O’Brien School of Surf on the ground floor of the Twin Fin Hotel, directly across from Waikiki Beach. After checking in and storing your belongings in a secure locker, start with a personalized beach lesson covering ocean safety, equipment, paddling, stance, wave selection, and how to pop up. Then head into the water for focused coaching, with no more than four guests per instructor. Surfboards, leashes, fins, rash guards, and reef shoes are provided.

After your session, return to the shop to view professional-quality photos on digital screens; photos and video are available for purchase. Bring swimwear, reef-friendly sunscreen, and a towel.
