Paddle 8.5 miles through mossy cypress forest on a guided Orlando kayak tour, with a picnic lunch at Boy Scout Bridge.

About this tour

Trade the city’s bustle for a quiet stretch of Florida wilderness on this Orlando kayak tour through Little-Big Econ State Forest. Over five hours, paddle about 8.5 miles along the river, where moss-covered cypress, towering live oaks, pines, and palmettos shade the water.

The route begins in a tightly winding section and gradually opens into a wider, lazier river bordered by high sandy banks. Take a break at Boy Scout Bridge on the Florida Trail for a picnic lunch, then enjoy the peaceful scenery from your kayak. Your tour includes a professional guide, kayak, paddle, life vest, bottled water, lunch, and complimentary group photos.

Participants must know how to swim and should be comfortable sitting in a kayak for several hours. Bring clothes that can get wet and possibly dirty, along with a swimsuit, towel, and waterproof camera. Book your Orlando kayak tour for a refreshing day among the cypress and quiet river bends.

How this score is calculated

This tour scores 4.91 on Viator and 5.00 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.

How the score works and rating distribution in Orlando
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.0. Top 16% in Orlando means it ranks in the top 16% of tours in Orlando by this score.
