Walk into the Mojave Desert with a guide who has spent more than two decades exploring Joshua Tree National Park. This 270-minute guided hike brings the landscape to life through the stories of someone who knows its trails, ecology, and local culture firsthand.

Set out on foot to experience the park’s distinctive desert scenery and learn how its natural systems and human stories connect. Your guide has logged more than 500 miles a year in the park and shares insights gathered over years of living in the High Desert. A daypack and water are provided, with water carried in reusable bottles or hydration bladders. The route can be adapted for different fitness levels, though participants should have at least moderate fitness.

Joshua Tree National Park is vast, so the meeting location may vary. The usual meeting point is 6573 Park Blvd in Joshua Tree, across from the western Visitor Center.
