Joshua Tree Photography Workshop 4 hr

Bring your camera to Joshua Tree National Park and learn to see its desert scenery with a more practiced eye. This four-hour photography workshop pairs hands-on composition guidance with the park’s sculptural rock formations and distinctive Joshua trees.

Led by Mitch Miller, a photographer with more than 30 years of experience in the park, the workshop explores lesser-known spots that can be missed in guidebooks. You’ll work on composing landscape images during the afternoon, as the light moves toward golden hour and sunset. Private transportation, an air-conditioned vehicle, and drinking water are provided, while the instructor’s National Park Service commercial authorization adds local expertise to the experience.

The park charges an entrance fee per person, though one parks pass can cover everyone in the group. Meet in the back of the large parking lot just south of the visitor center and look for a red Subaru Ascent.
