Follow the D-Day story from Pointe du Hoc to Omaha Beach and the US cemetery on a private, full-day journey from Paris.
About this tour
Trace the story of D-Day on a private full-day journey from Paris to Normandy. With a private driver-guide, explore the landscapes where Allied forces fought to secure a foothold in France and visit sites that preserve the scale and human cost of the campaign.
At Pointe du Hoc, see bomb craters scattered across the battlefield. Continue to Omaha Beach, where you’ll retrace the steps of US soldiers along the shore, then pause at the US cemetery to pay respects to the fallen. At Gold Beach in Arromanches, view original German cannons still set in concrete bunkers and the remains of the artificial harbor. If time allows, the route may also pass through Bayeux for a view of its famous tapestry.
Private transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle makes it easy to connect these far-flung sites, while your guide brings the day’s history into focus. Discover Normandy’s D-Day landmarks on this 12-hour Normandy Omaha Beach and US Cemetery tour.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 4 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.3. Top 31% in Paris means it ranks in the top 31% of tours in Paris by this score.
