About this tour
Meet Napoleon Bonaparte in person on a theatrical 90-minute walk around the Arc de Triomphe. In the heart of Paris, an actor brings the emperor to life on the eve of his 1812 Russian campaign, inviting you to step into the role of one of his officers.
As you explore the monument’s setting, hear how Napoleon rose from a young Corsican officer to the throne of France. Stories of Toulon, the Italian campaign, and the Revolution reveal the victories and decisions that shaped his career. The Arc de Triomphe becomes a monumental chronicle of armies, generals, and battles, while the conversation moves beyond military strategy to Napoleon’s political vision, ambition, and leadership.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.91 from 11 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.4. Top 31% in Paris means it ranks in the top 31% of tours in Paris by this score.
