Trace France’s military history at Les Invalides on a private Paris Army Museum tour with timed tickets and an expert guide.

About this tour

Follow the story of France’s military past inside Les Invalides, where the Army Museum brings centuries of conflict into focus. On a private Paris Army Museum tour, a licensed guide connects the people, battles, and turning points that shaped the nation.

Explore the museum’s permanent collection and learn about the French army’s role in the Napoleonic Wars, World War I, World War II, and other modern conflicts. Timed tickets let you bypass the ticket-office line, while your guide’s commentary adds context to the exhibits. Choose a 2-hour visit, or opt for the 3.5-hour experience, which pairs the museum tour with round-trip transfers from your accommodation. Transfer time is estimated at 1.5 hours and can vary with distance and traffic.

The Paris Army Museum tour is private, with groups of up to 19 people per guide; larger parties receive additional guides. Tickets cover the permanent collection, and some exhibits may be closed for renovations. Entrance and security checks still apply. Choose the option that suits your plans and discover the history behind Les Invalides with an expert guide.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.2. Top 41% in Paris means it ranks in the top 41% of tours in Paris by this score.
