Walk Île de la Cité with an English-speaking guide, then choose Sainte-Chapelle entry or a Notre-Dame visit in historic Paris.
About this tour
Follow the Seine into the heart of Paris on a guided walk across Île de la Cité, where the city’s story began. Your guide brings the island’s past to life with tales of kings, medieval life, and revolutionary trials as you pass Pont Neuf, Place Dauphine, and the Conciergerie. This Paris Île de la Cité Walking Tour pairs landmark views with a choice of memorable ways to continue. Select Sainte-Chapelle entry to see its Gothic architecture and brilliant stained glass, or choose a Notre-Dame option for escorted access or a guided visit inside the cathedral. The standard Notre-Dame experience lasts 1 hour 30 minutes, with a guided walk followed by time to explore independently; the guided upgrade adds a dedicated cathedral visit. A small group of 25 or fewer and an English-speaking local guide keep the experience personal and easy to follow. Notre-Dame remains an active place of worship, so access can change around services, and security checks may cause delays. Wear clothing that covers your knees and shoulders, and leave large bags behind. Choose your preferred option and discover Paris through the landmarks and stories of its historic island.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.63 from 358 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 5.7.
