Explore Paris after dark with a local guide, uncovering the crimes, trials, and scandals that shaped the city and French history.
About this tour
Follow Paris after dark through stories of crimes, scandals, and the pursuit of justice. On this Paris Justice and Crime Tour, a local guide leads you along shadowy cobbled streets and past landmarks glowing in the night, revealing events that left their mark on the city and shaped French history.
Hear accounts of treason, murder, trials, and executions, and learn how punishments changed over the centuries. Discover why the guillotine was invented and who was accused of witchcraft and burned alive. The stories connect the places you see with the major events that transformed justice in France. This is a history-focused walk, not a tour of legends.
Your 90-minute Paris Justice and Crime Tour offers a vivid way to see familiar streets through a darker lens. Meet your guide on the square, in front of the main entrance stairs, and look for the Paris With Fay tote bag. Join the walk and uncover the real stories behind Paris after sunset.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1. Top 49% in Paris means it ranks in the top 49% of tours in Paris by this score.
