About this tour

Trade Parisian streets for the Loire Valley’s grand Renaissance castles and celebrated wine country on a small-group day trip limited to eight guests. This Paris Loire Valley Wine and Castle Tour visits Château de Chambord and Château de Chenonceau, where audio guides bring the castles’ history and architecture to life at your own pace. At a local winery, discover regional wines during a tasting of up to five glasses. Choose the lunch option to add a three-course meal with a starter, main course, and dessert. Hotel pickup and drop-off, bottled water, and air-conditioned minivan transport make the long journey more comfortable; the drive takes around 2.5 hours each way, with the return trip varying by traffic. The Paris Loire Valley Wine and Castle Tour pairs historic landmarks with a taste of the region, all in a small-group setting. How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.86 from 72 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.5. Top 24% in Paris means it ranks in the top 24% of tours in Paris by this score.
