Explore the Louvre’s iconic masterpieces and royal history on a two-hour guided tour with pre-booked entry and a small group.

About this tour

Step into centuries of art and history on a Paris Louvre Museum Guided Tour, where celebrated masterpieces share space with the story of a former royal palace. With a pre-booked ticket and a licensed guide, you can focus on the galleries rather than arranging entry. Headphones help you follow the commentary as your small group explores highlights including the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, Winged Victory of Samothrace, and Napoleon’s coronation.

Learn how the Louvre changed over 800 years, from medieval fortress to Renaissance royal residence and, eventually, museum. The palace was enlarged and used by two emperors; today, its collection spans more than 35,000 works beneath the landmark glass Pyramid. The tour lasts two hours, with six people per guide, offering a more personal way to take in the museum’s vast history and iconic art.

Meet your guide on Place Colette, near Palais Royal–Musée du Louvre metro station. Choose this Paris Louvre Museum Guided Tour for a guided introduction to some of the world’s best-known works. Please note that guests cannot stay in the museum after the tour ends.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.75 from 20 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris

Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.9.
