About this tour

Explore the Louvre Museum in Paris on a focused, two-hour guided tour that brings its most celebrated works into view. In a small group, follow your guide through the galleries to see the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, Winged Victory, and other selected highlights. Audio headsets help you hear the commentary clearly as you learn the stories, techniques, and details behind the art.

The tour also traces the Louvre’s transformation from royal palace to world-famous museum, with memorable tales including the Mona Lisa’s theft and the histories behind iconic sculptures and paintings. Reserved timed entry is included, though all visitors must pass through security, and seasonal waits may be longer. Meet beside the Arc of the Carrousel, directly opposite the Louvre Pyramid, and arrive at least 20 minutes before the start. How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.2. Top 41% in Paris means it ranks in the top 41% of tours in Paris by this score.
