Explore the Louvre’s essential masterpieces with a guide, including admission and a closer look at the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, and more.

About this tour

Discover the Louvre through its celebrated masterpieces and the stories behind them on a guided visit in Paris. This 150-minute tour includes museum entry and a guide who makes the collection easier to follow, with a focus on essential works rather than an overwhelming sweep of detail.

Meet by the Louis XIV statue in front of the pyramid, then explore highlights including the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, and Winged Victory of Samothrace. Along the way, your guide adds context and engaging explanations to help bring these iconic works into focus. The tour is designed for a more personal experience, with a maximum group size of six; a guide exclusively for your group is available on private bookings.

Arrive on time, as late entry is not permitted and you can enter only with your guide. At the end, the group must leave the museum with the guide. Make the most of your time with a Paris Louvre Museum Guided Tour that pairs included admission with a thoughtful introduction to the collection.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.95 from 7,261 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 9.3. Top 2% in Paris means it ranks in the top 2% of tours in Paris by this score.
