Explore the Louvre’s masterpieces with a certified artist-guide on an intimate, English-language tour for no more than six guests.

About this tour

See the Louvre through an artist’s eyes on a small-group tour led by a certified guide who is also a painter. With a collection spanning more than 35,000 works, the museum can feel like a maze; this focused visit brings you face to face with celebrated masterpieces and the details that make them endure.

Over two hours, explore works including the Mona Lisa and Winged Victory, noticing the movement, technique, and artistic choices behind each piece. Follow the story of art from Greek Antiquity to the Italian Renaissance, with explanations designed to make painting techniques accessible to all audiences. With no more than six guests, there is room to look closely and engage with the art. Your ticket is included, and the live tour is in English.

Meet at the Kiosque des Noctambules sculpture across from the Comédie-Française, a short walk from the museum entrance. Choose this Paris Louvre Museum guided tour for a more personal way to encounter the works that shaped art history.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 102 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 9.1. Top 2% in Paris means it ranks in the top 2% of tours in Paris by this score.
