See the Mona Lisa with an expert guide, then explore the Louvre’s vast collections at your own pace with a self-guided audio app.

About this tour

Make your first Louvre stop the one everyone comes to see. On this 60-minute Paris Louvre Museum tour, an expert English-speaking guide leads you to the Mona Lisa and shares the story behind Leonardo da Vinci’s celebrated portrait. Reserved entry and a planned route help simplify your arrival, though mandatory security checks may still cause delays.

After the guided visit, use the included audio app to explore at your own pace. The Louvre’s vast collections span Egyptian antiquities, Greek and Roman treasures, Islamic art, French masterpieces, and more, offering plenty to discover beyond the museum’s most famous painting. Download the app to your smartphone before the tour so it is ready when you want to continue.

Meet your guide at the Arc du Carrousel, across the road from the Louvre Pyramid entrance and near the entrance to the Tuileries Garden. Start your Paris Louvre Museum tour with a memorable encounter, then let your curiosity lead the way through the galleries.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.75 from 247 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.7.
