Explore the Louvre’s masterpieces on a private Paris tour, with a licensed guide, a tailored pace, and time to continue on your own.

About this tour

Discover the Louvre’s great works on a private tour shaped around your interests. In the heart of Paris, your licensed guide leads you through the museum’s highlights, including the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo, while sharing the stories behind the art. The private format offers a more personal way to navigate the galleries and take in the collection without the pace of a large group.

Your 120-minute Paris Louvre Private Tour focuses on essential sights, with a guide who knows how to move through the museum and make the most of your visit. Galleries can close without notice, and artworks may be away for restoration or loan, so the route may vary. After the guided experience, you’re welcome to continue exploring the Louvre independently. Meet by the horse statue in front of the pyramid and allow extra time for Paris traffic and possible security lines. Book your Paris Louvre Private Tour for a focused, personal introduction to one of the world’s most celebrated museums.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.94 from 270 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.8. Top 5% in Paris means it ranks in the top 5% of tours in Paris by this score.
