Navigate the Louvre at your own pace with 45 audio commentaries, helpful illustrations, and a mapped route through celebrated masterpieces.

About this tour

Explore the Louvre at your own pace with a self-guided Paris Louvre smartphone audio guide. A mapped route helps you navigate the vast museum, while illustrations make it easier to spot the works and 45 audio commentaries share stories behind its celebrated collection.

Over roughly 150 minutes, follow a route featuring the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, Michelangelo’s Slaves, the medieval Louvre castle, an Egyptian sphinx, Raphael’s Madonna, Liberty Leading the People, and the Galerie d’Apollon with its French crown jewels. Pause for a coffee, skip an exhibit, or continue exploring after the route. The app also offers tips to help you prepare for your visit, and access lasts one year in your preferred language.

This is an independent audio experience, not an official Louvre guide or a human-led tour. Download the app, bring your smartphone and headphones, and purchase museum admission separately in advance. Start by the Louvre Pyramid, then let the Paris Louvre smartphone audio guide lead you through a memorable selection of masterpieces.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 3.50 from 28 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 5.7.
