Explore five peaceful, little-known gardens on a relaxed two-hour walk through Paris’s historic Marais district.
About this tour
Discover a quieter side of Paris on a two-hour walk through the Marais, where hidden gardens offer a welcome pause from the lively streets. Once private grounds belonging to the district’s grand mansions, these green spaces reveal a lesser-known layer of the neighborhood’s history.
Follow a relaxed route from one end of the Marais to the other, stopping at five gardens along the way. Take in leafy paths and peaceful corners as your guide shares the story of a district shaped by centuries of change. The walk balances local history with time to enjoy each garden’s calm atmosphere.
This Paris Marais secret gardens walk is a chance to see the neighborhood beyond its best-known streets and landmarks. Meet in front of the Leica store on Boulevard Beaumarchais, near Chemin Vert metro station. Join the walk and discover five tranquil pockets of green in the heart of Paris.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 3 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.3. Top 35% in Paris means it ranks in the top 35% of tours in Paris by this score.
