About this tour
Montmartre’s postcard charm hides stories of scandal, rebellion, and art-world mischief. On this Paris Montmartre self-guided art and scandal tour, follow GPS-triggered narration through the hill’s storied streets, listening at your own pace on your phone.
Hear tales of a donkey whose painted canvas fooled Paris, a teenager executed for refusing to remove his hat, and a café gunshot linked to the grief that helped inspire a modern art movement. Along the way, discover the Moulin Rouge, the wall covered in “I love you” in 250 languages, Picasso’s studio, and the gleaming dome of Sacré-Cœur Basilica. Pause for coffee, take photos, or linger wherever a story catches your attention.
Your booking includes audio and written guidance, an interactive map, images to help identify stops, and offline access after you download the tour. Listen as often as you like during your 1-year access period. Set out whenever you’re ready and experience Montmartre’s layered history one story at a time.

How this score is calculated
This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.
How the score works
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
