About this tour

Step inside a grand former railway station and discover the art that helped shape modern painting on this 120-minute Paris Musée d'Orsay Highlights Tour. Built for the 1900 Universal Exhibition, the station became a museum in 1986, and its soaring halls now house an exceptional collection of 19th-century art.

With a live Russian-speaking guide and headsets, explore celebrated works by Impressionists including Monet, Degas, Manet, Van Gogh, Cézanne, and Sisley. Along the way, see sculptures by Auguste Rodin, Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux, and Aristide Maillol, and learn about the building’s surprising past, from its early days as a railway station to its later transformation into a museum. The visit also takes in decorative arts and Art Nouveau furniture. Entry is arranged without waiting in line, but admission is not included; the guide can prepare a ticket for €16 per adult, payable in cash.

Meet beneath the elephant statue outside the entrance and look for the “My Super Paris” sign. Join this Paris Musée d'Orsay Highlights Tour to experience the museum’s landmark works and remarkable setting with a guide by your side.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.81 from 27 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1.
