Explore Notre-Dame’s Gothic details and restoration story with a Paris expert, choosing a guided walk, reserved interior tour, or private option.

About this tour

See Notre-Dame through the eyes of a Paris expert, from its sculpted portals and watchful gargoyles to the soaring flying buttresses that define its Gothic silhouette. After more than 860 years at the heart of Paris and a major restoration following the 2019 fire, the cathedral offers a remarkable story to discover.

Choose the experience that suits your visit. On the guided walking tour, explore Notre-Dame and its surroundings with an expert, then enter the cathedral independently. The reserved interior tour adds access inside with audio headsets and a state-licensed guide; this is the option where your guide accompanies you indoors, and group size is capped at nine. Prefer a more personal outing? The private walking tour is exclusively for your group and also includes independent cathedral entry.

Each option brings a different perspective on this Paris landmark. Join a Paris Notre-Dame tour to connect the details of the architecture with the cathedral’s restoration story, then continue your visit at your own pace. Choose your preferred tour option and experience Notre-Dame with an expert by your side.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
