Explore Notre-Dame’s Gothic details, restored interior, and history on a 60-minute guided tour with a professional guide in Paris.

About this tour

Discover Notre-Dame de Paris through its Gothic stonework, storied artworks, and remarkable restoration. This 60-minute Paris Notre-Dame guided tour pairs expert storytelling with a closer look at one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks.

Meet your guide outside the Archaeological Crypt, directly across from the cathedral’s front façade. Begin with the exterior, where sculptures and flying buttresses reveal the ambition of Gothic architecture. Then explore the interior, taking in the nave, choir, sacred chapels, stained-glass windows, and restored wooden framework. Along the way, hear about the cathedral’s history, reconstruction, and architectural details that are easy to miss on your own. With a private professional guide, the visit offers room to focus on the stories and features that interest you most.

Notre-Dame’s entrance is free and open to all, and the guided tour is independent of access to the building’s interior. Arrive 10 minutes early, find the guide’s Zeytin Tours badge, and experience Paris Notre-Dame with fresh perspective.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.43 from 564 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 4.4.
