Explore Impressionist masterpieces on a private Paris Orsay Museum tour, with an art history expert and reserved entry.

About this tour

Step inside a grand former railway station and meet the artists who transformed modern painting. On a private Paris Orsay Museum tour, an art history expert guides you through celebrated works by Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Degas, and other Impressionist luminaries.

Over 120 minutes, hear the stories and ideas behind the paintings as you explore the museum’s collections with a guide. Reserved entry helps you skip the ticket line, while the private format offers a more personal way to connect with the art. After the guided visit, you’re welcome to stay in the museum and continue exploring at your own pace. Some rooms may require quiet or restrict speaking, and collections can vary throughout the year.

Arrive 15 minutes early at the rhinoceros statue outside the entrance, then let the paintings and their history shape your visit. Book your Paris Orsay Museum private tour for an expert-led introduction to Impressionism.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
