Uncover Parisian tales of love, betrayal, and scandal on a small-group walk linking iconic landmarks with legendary figures.

About this tour

See Paris through its stories of love, desire, betrayal, and scandal on this 150-minute walking tour. Rather than simply reciting dates and architectural details, your guide brings the city’s famous places to life through the intimate histories of the people who lived, loved, and stirred controversy there.

As you explore, discover surprising connections between iconic Paris landmarks and figures including Marie Antoinette, Napoleon, Voltaire, and Coco Chanel. With no more than 12 guests, the experience feels personal, giving you room to ask questions and engage with your English-speaking guide. You’ll also receive personalized recommendations for the rest of your stay.

Meet your guide beside the Strasbourg statue at Place de la Concorde, where they’ll be holding a “Whispers of Paris” sign. Join this Paris Scandals Walking Tour for a fresh perspective on the city’s past and the people behind its legends.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 14 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.8. Top 15% in Paris means it ranks in the top 15% of tours in Paris by this score.
