Taste barrel-drawn wines, pair them with French aperitif boards, and test your senses in a blind tasting in a Paris cellar.
About this tour
Discover the character of French wine in a cellar in Paris, where a sommelier guides you through a 90-minute tasting. Begin by drawing a wine directly from one of the cellar’s nine barrels, then learn the basics of tasting and how to notice a wine’s aromas and flavors.
Move to the cellar’s century-old table for another pour alongside aperitif boards featuring charcuterie, cheese, and spreads. Then put your senses to the test with a blind tasting in black glasses: without seeing the wine’s color, can you tell what’s in your glass? The experience takes place in an air-conditioned cellar and includes white and red wines.
This Paris Wine Tasting Course offers a relaxed way to explore wine through guided tasting, food pairings, and a playful sensory challenge. Meet at Canons Canons on rue du Faubourg du Temple, close to Goncourt metro station and Place de la République. Book your tasting and see what you discover in the glass.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 16 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.9. Top 14% in Paris means it ranks in the top 14% of tours in Paris by this score.
