Ride from Civitavecchia pier to Rome or FCO in a shared, air-conditioned minivan with an English-speaking driver and up to 8 passengers.

About this tour

Travel from Civitavecchia cruise pier toward Rome or FCO in a shared, air-conditioned minivan with an English-speaking driver. This Civitavecchia shared transfer to Rome keeps the journey simple: meet your driver dockside, settle in, and leave the port behind while your group travels to its listed hotel or airport destination.

Choose between two departure times. The 7:00 am service goes to FCO airport and surrounding hotels, not Rome hotels. The 9:30 am departure serves Rome hotels and/or FCO, and may stop at the airport first depending on where other passengers are headed. Multiple hotel drop-offs are possible, so allow flexibility in your plans. The group is limited to 8 passengers, and each traveler can bring one large suitcase and one carry-on. Complimentary car seats and boosters are available for children ages 0–5 when requested after booking.

Pickup may shift by 10–15 minutes when the driver is collecting guests from multiple ships, and travel time varies with traffic and destinations. Choose the departure that matches your destination and enjoy a convenient Civitavecchia shared transfer to Rome or FCO.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.78 from 626 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.8.
