About this tour

Escape the crowds and discover Ponza from the water on a private boat excursion. This Ponza private boat tour pairs a traditional gozzo with a skipper and tour leader, giving you a more personal way to explore the island’s coastline.

Travel options include departures from Rome, Anzio, Terracina, Circeo, or Formia. Round-trip ferry tickets are provided from selected ports, and central Rome options include hotel pickup and drop-off. For Terracina departures, tickets arrive by email 24 hours ahead, and your guide meets you in Ponza as you disembark.

Once aboard, spend time cruising along the coast, swimming in clear waters, and seeking out coves and grottoes. Snorkel rentals are provided, and the private setting lets you enjoy the outing at a relaxed pace. Lunch is not included; bring your own, pick up a meal in Ponza, or ask about arranging a seaside restaurant stop. After the excursion, the source itinerary notes free time to explore the harbor before the return journey. Choose this Ponza private boat tour for a flexible day on the water with a dedicated guide.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1. Top 48% in Rome means it ranks in the top 48% of tours in Rome by this score.
