Explore Monteverde’s artisan studios with a local designer, enjoy breakfast, and discover handcrafted Roman art, fashion, and gifts.

About this tour

Step into Rome’s creative side on a private walking tour through Monteverde, a peaceful neighborhood where independent makers keep local craft traditions alive. Begin at 10:45 am with a continental breakfast at Bar Vitali on Via Lorenzo Valla, 38, then set out with a local designer to explore a collection of artisan studios and a multi-brand showroom.

Meet jewelers, tailors, and fabric makers, and discover ceramics, mosaics, handcrafted fashion, and home accessories. Along the way, watch creative processes up close, hear about the art and fashion traditions that shape the city, and browse original Made in Rome pieces that make thoughtful gifts or personal keepsakes. How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.2. Top 40% in Rome means it ranks in the top 40% of tours in Rome by this score.
