Explore the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill at your own pace with an AI video guide and optional Arena or VR upgrades.

About this tour

Step into the story of Ancient Rome with a flexible, self-guided visit to the Colosseum. Choose the ticket option that suits your plans, then explore with an AI video guide on your own smartphone, featuring historical insights and immersive audiovisual content. Bring your own earphones to listen as you go.

For ticket options that include entry, your visit begins at the Colosseum, with access to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill on the same ticket. A paper map with 3D reconstructions helps bring the ancient sites into view, while local staff can assist with ticket collection and app setup. Some options add Arena access or a virtual reality experience; check your selected option carefully, as Arena entry is not standard and the VR-only option does not include an entrance ticket.

Rome Colosseum entry with an AI video guide lets you set your own pace through these landmark ruins. Bring valid identification for every visitor, including children, and allow time for mandatory security checks. Choose your preferred option and discover the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill at your own rhythm.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 3.48 from 3,018 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 1.5.
