Hear stories of gladiators and ancient Rome on a guided Colosseum visit, with admission and select options for the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill.

About this tour

Step into the stories of ancient Rome on a guided visit to the Colosseum, where the scale of the arena and its dramatic past come into focus. An expert guide traces the monument’s origins and construction, then brings its history to life through tales of gladiators, wild animals, and prisoners condemned to fight.

This Rome Colosseum guided tour includes admission and a reservation fee. Depending on the option selected, your experience may also include a guided tour of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill; these sites are not included with the Colosseum 1-hour option. Listen closely as you explore and discover the events that made the amphitheater one of ancient Rome’s most enduring landmarks.

Bring identification that matches the names supplied at booking, and allow for possible entry delays due to visitor capacity limits. Choose your preferred option and experience the Colosseum with an expert guide.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
