Hear tales of emperors and gladiators on a guided Colosseum visit, with entrance fees and a headset included.
About this tour
Step into the story of ancient Rome on a guided tour of its most enduring landmark. Meet your guide outside the Colosseum, collect a headset, and follow the arena’s history through vivid accounts of emperors, gladiators, and the centuries that shaped the monument. The headset helps you hear the guide clearly as you explore.
Your ticket includes Colosseum entrance fees and a guided visit. The tour does not include a guided tour of the Roman Forum or Palatine. Bring valid identification that matches the name provided at booking, and make sure every traveler’s full name appears on the booking details. Arrive at the My City Tour office meeting point at least 15 minutes before the start time. Large bags, backpacks, spray bottles, and glass items are not allowed inside, and there is no storage facility at the Colosseum.
Discover the stories behind the stones on this Rome Colosseum Guided Tour, then ask your guide any questions at the end of the visit.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 3.84 from 85 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 4.6.
