Explore the Colosseum, Arena Floor, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill with a guided tour option tailored to your Rome visit.

About this tour

Choose the Ancient Rome experience that suits your visit, from a focused Colosseum tour to an itinerary that also explores the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. This Rome Colosseum Guided Tour offers several distinct options, so check your selection carefully: duration, language, access, and inclusions vary, and the options are not cumulative.

The Express option pairs a guided Colosseum visit with first- and second-tier access and independent 24-hour entry to the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, and Imperial Fora. Other options include a guided tour of the Colosseum Arena Floor, where gladiators once fought, or a guided Ancient Rome route through the Colosseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill. English and Spanish options are available, depending on the tour. A licensed guide leads the guided visits, with headsets provided when needed; the semi-private Arena tour is capped at eight guests.

Bring valid ID matching the name supplied at booking, and review the meeting details for your selected option. Choose the Rome Colosseum Guided Tour that fits your plans and experience the city's ancient landmarks with context from a guide.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.50 from 142 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 5.3.
