About this tour

Experience the Colosseum after dark, when Rome’s landmark takes on a quieter, more atmospheric feel. This Rome Colosseum Night Tour brings you inside the ancient amphitheater for a guided visit to its Underground and Arena floor, where the scale and history of the monument come into focus away from the daytime bustle.

Your ticket also provides access to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill for a self-guided visit on the same or following day, so you can explore these historic sites at your own pace. A live guide leads the Colosseum portion in English, and the group is capped at 25 travelers. Official tickets are sent before the activity; head directly to the entrance and have your matching photo ID ready.

See the Colosseum in a different light, then continue your exploration of ancient Rome on your own schedule. Book the Rome Colosseum Night Tour for an evening visit with access to its most distinctive areas.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 3.00 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.9.
