About this tour

Step into the world of ancient Rome on a guided Colosseum tour, where stories of gladiators and grand spectacles bring the arena’s past to life. Meet your coordinator, then explore this landmark with a local licensed guide who speaks your language.

Hear how the Colosseum came to be and learn about its construction, the gladiatorial contests, encounters with wild animals, and the fate of condemned prisoners. Choose the ticket option with arena access for a closer look at the stage where these events unfolded. The entrance ticket is valued at €18 per person, or €24 per person with arena access; a €2 reservation fee also applies.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
