Explore the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill with a digital audioguide, plus optional access to the Arena Floor and SUPER Sites.

About this tour

Meet your host beneath the Arch of Constantine and step into the world of ancient Rome with a Rome Colosseum Tour and digital audioguide. Download the guide to your phone before setting out, then enter the Colosseum at your scheduled time and explore at your own pace. Choose the Arena option for access to the Arena Floor and SUPER Sites, when available.

Your ticket also opens the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, where ruins and sweeping views bring Rome’s imperial story into focus. A host at the meeting point helps you get started, while the audioguide offers context as you move through the archaeological complex. The Arena option costs €24 per person for the Colosseum ticket, compared with €18 for standard entry; a €2 reservation fee applies. Children under 18 receive free entry to the archaeological sites.

Arrive 30 minutes early with valid ID and the exact names used for your booking. Seasonal closing hours can limit time at the Forum and Palatine Hill, especially in winter. Choose your preferred entry option and discover Rome’s landmark ruins with a Rome Colosseum Tour.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.00 from 10 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.5.
