Shop for ingredients at Campo de' Fiori, make fresh pasta with a chef, and enjoy a wine-paired meal in Trastevere.
About this tour
Cook your way through Rome, starting with a stroll among the stalls of Campo de' Fiori. With a professional chef, choose ingredients at the market before heading to a private apartment in Trastevere, one of the city's most authentic neighborhoods. This five-hour Rome cooking class turns fresh market finds into a hands-on Italian feast.
Make three types of pasta, paired with three sauces or fillings, and enjoy a meal of four or five courses. Depending on the ingredients and choices made at the market, the menu may also include antipasto, a meat course, and dessert. Wine accompanies lunch, and recipes are emailed after the class so you can revisit the dishes at home. The small-group experience is limited to 10 participants, with at least six needed for the class to run.
Meet in front of the French Embassy at 9:30 a.m. Share any dietary requirements when booking. Join this Rome cooking class to explore local flavors, learn from a chef, and savor the results together.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.86 from 444 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.7. Top 19% in Rome means it ranks in the top 19% of tours in Rome by this score.
