Meet the winemaker, tour the vineyard and cellars, and taste three wines paired with Italian specialties and seasonal garden produce.

About this tour

Escape Rome for a countryside wine experience at Antico Casale. Meet the winemaker, then explore the vineyard and cellars to learn how the wines are made. You may even get to sample a grape straight from the vine.

Settle in for a tasting of three wines produced at the winery: a white Frascati DOCG, a red wine with IGP designation, and sweet Cannellino. Each pour comes with Italian specialties such as Roman pizza or olive oil, alongside seasonal fruits and vegetables from the garden. Private transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle makes the journey part of the experience, while snacks round out your visit.

This Rome countryside wine tasting tour pairs a close-up look at winemaking with regional flavors and a relaxed tasting. Join the experience to discover the vineyard, meet its winemaker, and savor wines rooted in the local landscape.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.27 from 15 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.4.
