Explore Rome’s historic sights on a private, customizable golf cart tour with an English-speaking driver and hotel pickup inside the Aurelian Walls.

About this tour

See Rome’s historic streets from the open perspective of a golf cart, with a private English-speaking driver-guide and a route tailored to your interests. This Rome Golf Cart Tour lasts 3 or 5 hours and begins at your hotel or Airbnb inside the Aurelian Walls.

Your driver takes you to the city’s important historical sights and waits in the vehicle while you explore each stop. Admission tickets are not included, so you can choose which attractions to enter and arrange tickets independently or through the tour office. For deeper context inside the sites, request a licensed guide for a three-hour guided visit; this costs €250, payable in cash on the day.

At the end, your driver returns you to your accommodation. The golf cart’s low speed means the tour must start within the Aurelian Walls. If you plan to visit places of worship or selected museums, wear clothing that covers your knees and shoulders. Choose the duration that suits your day and discover Rome at your own pace on a Rome Golf Cart Tour.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 24 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.1. Top 11% in Rome means it ranks in the top 11% of tours in Rome by this score.
