Hear opera arias and duets in Rome, then meet the performers over an Italian aperitivo in an intimate, date-specific venue.

About this tour

Spend an evening with opera in Rome, where celebrated voices and an Italian aperitivo make a memorable pairing. A professional soprano and tenor perform well-known arias and duets with piano accompaniment, while short introductions help newcomers follow the music. The 75-minute experience offers an intimate way to enjoy live performance without needing to be an opera expert.

The venue and musical program vary by date. On November 28, the concert takes place at the historic Oratorio di San Giovanni Battista dei Genovesi in Trastevere and ends with classic Neapolitan songs. The December 23, 26, and 30 Christmas editions are held at Chiesa Evangelica Metodista and feature festive melodies. After the performance, stay for the included aperitivo, meet the artists, take photos, and share your impressions. At the Oratorio, the gathering may take place in the cloister.

Seats are assigned by the theater box office and are not confirmed in advance. For the Christmas dates, enter at Via XX Settembre 122/C, on the corner of Via Firenze; the map lists Via Firenze 38. Make your Rome opera concert part of an evening filled with music, conversation, and Italian hospitality.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.91 from 139 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.2. Top 11% in Rome means it ranks in the top 11% of tours in Rome by this score.
