About this tour

Step inside a monument where Roman engineering meets centuries of art and faith. On this 45-minute Rome Pantheon guided tour, an expert guide brings the former temple, now a consecrated church, to life.

Explore the grand portico and its towering granite columns, then stand beneath the Pantheon’s immense concrete dome. Look up through the 9-meter-wide oculus as your guide explains the building’s design, history, and enduring influence. You’ll also hear about the tombs of notable figures, including Raphael and Victor Emmanuel II. Headsets help you follow the commentary clearly, and Pantheon tickets are included.

The Rome Pantheon guided tour offers a close look at one of the city’s most remarkable landmarks, with stories that connect its ancient origins to its place in Rome today. Remember to cover your knees and shoulders and bring a copy of your ID. Join the tour and see the Pantheon from the inside.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.20 from 5 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.8.
