About this tour

Step inside one of Rome’s most remarkable ancient landmarks on a Pantheon Guided Tour, led by an expert who brings its history and engineering to life. Choose the Classic Option to explore the monument’s soaring dome, open oculus, original marble floor, and Raphael’s tomb while hearing how this 2,000-year-old masterpiece was built. The Classic Option also includes a brief Italian coffee tasting.

For a different perspective, select Special Access to explore hidden areas of the Basilica of Neptune, where archaeological remains, immersive storytelling, and digital reconstructions reveal layers of the site’s past. Enter the Pantheon through a dedicated back-door entrance, away from the crowds. The Pantheon Guided Tour offers a choice between a classic visit and a deeper look at spaces usually hidden from view. Meet your guide by the fountain in front of the entrance, and remember to bring valid ID matching your booking name. Choose the option that suits your curiosity and discover the Pantheon up close.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.75 from 93 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.8.
