Explore hidden rooms behind Rome’s Pantheon, admire marine friezes, and enter the monument through a special entrance.

About this tour

Step beyond the familiar Rotunda and uncover a quieter side of one of Rome’s most iconic landmarks. This 90-minute Rome Pantheon Hidden Passages Tour takes you into the Basilica of Neptune, where spaces behind the Rotunda reveal layers of history rarely seen by visitors.

Follow your guide through the basilica’s hidden rooms and admire its exceptional friezes decorated with marine motifs. The route connects the Roman Pantheon with its later Christian history, tracing the monument’s story from antiquity to the present. After exploring the Basilica of Neptune, use the special entrance for fast access to the Pantheon. The guided portion takes place in the basilica; a guide is not provided inside the Pantheon.

With skip-the-line entry and access to areas previously little known to the public, the Rome Pantheon Hidden Passages Tour offers a fresh perspective on the monument’s architecture and history. Meet near the elephant statue and discover what lies beyond the celebrated dome.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
