Join a guided Wednesday Papal Audience in Rome, watch the Pope cross St. Peter’s Square, and admire Bernini’s colonnade and St. Peter’s Basilica.

About this tour

Experience a Wednesday morning Papal Audience in Rome with a licensed tour leader, and take in the anticipation of St. Peter’s Square as the faithful gather. Your guide helps you with the pre-booked free tickets and leads the way, so you can focus on the occasion rather than arranging entry on your own.

Watch for the Pope as he crosses the square in the popemobile on his way to the podium, where he delivers his message and gives the Papal Blessing. Along the way, admire Bernini’s double colonnade and stroll through St. Peter’s Basilica. Headsets help you follow your guide during the experience.

The audience may take place indoors if the weather requires it, and seating is not guaranteed. This is not a skip-the-line tour, and late arrivals who miss the tour are not refunded. Join this Rome Papal Audience Experience for a guided visit centered on a memorable moment at the heart of the Vatican.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.07 from 41 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 5.5.
