Make Roman-style pan pizza, rosemary focaccia, and espresso-topped gelato in a hands-on Italian cooking masterclass.

About this tour

Make a meal with your own hands in this lively, 120-minute pizza and gelato affogato masterclass. Rather than watching from the sidelines, you’ll join in at every stage, learning practical techniques as you prepare classic Italian favorites from scratch.

Start with Roman-style pizza in teglia, stretching and topping dough for a crisp bottom and airy crust. Then make traditional focaccia, practicing the signature dimpling technique before seasoning it with fresh rosemary and olive oil. For dessert, prepare affogato al caffè, bringing together warm espresso and creamy gelato. The experience includes meals, drinks, and coffee or tea, so you can enjoy the results of your work.

Meet inside the marina at booth 879. Bring your appetite and discover the pleasures of making—and tasting—these Italian staples yourself.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1. Top 48% in Rome means it ranks in the top 48% of tours in Rome by this score.
