See Rome’s highlights on an 8-hour private Mercedes tour with English commentary and convenient hotel pickup and drop-off.

About this tour

Take in Rome’s celebrated sights from the comfort of a private Mercedes on an eight-hour chauffeured tour. With hotel pickup and drop-off in Rome, you can explore the Eternal City without the strain of long walks between highlights.

Your English-speaking driver brings the city to life with live commentary while driving you as close as possible to the sights. The vehicle is a private Mercedes sedan or minivan, and each booking can include up to eight people. Please note that your driver is not a licensed tour guide: Italian regulations allow commentary and explanations only from inside the vehicle, not while you are outside at attractions.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.2. Top 40% in Rome means it ranks in the top 40% of tours in Rome by this score.
