Explore Rome’s landmarks, piazzas, museums, and churches on a private Mercedes-Benz drive with an English-speaking chauffeur.

About this tour

See Rome’s ancient landmarks, lively piazzas, museums, and churches on a private 510-minute drive through the Eternal City. Travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned Mercedes-Benz with an English-speaking professional chauffeur, who can bring you close to each venue and help you avoid long walks between stops.

This is a driver-only experience, not a guided walking tour. At each attraction, you explore independently while your chauffeur stays with the vehicle. Italian law requires licensed tour guides to accompany visitors on foot, so the driver cannot guide you through sites. Entry tickets are not included; Colosseum and Vatican tickets should be purchased in advance. Bottled water is provided, and specialized infant seats are available.

Choose this Rome Private Driver Tour for a flexible overview of the city at your own pace. Book your ride and spend the day discovering Rome’s celebrated sights, one stop at a time.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 5 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.4. Top 28% in Rome means it ranks in the top 28% of tours in Rome by this score.
