See Rome’s landmarks on a flexible private minivan tour with live commentary from an English-speaking driver.

About this tour

Explore Rome at your own pace on a private half-day drive through the city. An English-speaking driver shares live commentary as you pass the landmarks, bringing context to the sights along the way. With a private vehicle and a route that can be customized to your requests, this Rome Private Half-Day Tour offers a flexible way to take in the city without committing to a fixed sightseeing plan. The tour begins and ends in Rome and lasts four hours. Transportation is wheelchair accessible, and specialized infant seats are available. If your plans include places of worship or selected museums, dress appropriately: knees and shoulders must be covered for both men and women, and visitors who do not meet the dress requirements may be refused entry. See Rome from the comfort of a private minivan and shape the drive around the sights you most want to experience.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 6 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.4. Top 26% in Rome means it ranks in the top 26% of tours in Rome by this score.
