See Rome’s landmark sights on a flexible private tour, with local stories, photo stops, and pickup from your accommodation.

About this tour

Explore Rome at your own pace on a private four-hour sightseeing tour, with an English-speaking local driver sharing stories and practical tips along the way. Your ride begins with pickup from your accommodation or another agreed location, then takes you through a cityscape of ancient monuments, grand piazzas, and lively streets.

See the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and Pantheon, with possible stops at Piazza Navona, Palatine Hill, and Castel Sant’Angelo. Choose which places to explore inside and which to admire from outside, and make time for photos or questions at each stop. Your driver offers historical context and a local perspective, but is not licensed to accompany you into museums or archaeological sites. Entrance tickets are not included unless specified in your selected option. The vehicle is a sedan for groups of 1–4 or a minivan for groups of 5–8; water and onboard Wi-Fi are provided. At the end, return to your accommodation. Some sites may close for holidays, maintenance, or special events, so check opening hours before you go.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.25 from 57 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 5.3.
